Defence Ministry has today signed contracts with M/s. Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. (BEML), M/s. Tata Power Company Ltd. (TPCL) and M/s. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for supply of Six #Pinaka Regiments to the Regiment of Artillery of the #IndianArmy at an approximate cost of Rs. 2580 Crores.
The six #Pinaka Regiments will be operationalised along the Northern and Eastern Borders of our country further enhancing the operation preparedness of our Armed Forces. Induction of Six Pinaka Regiments is planned to be completed by 2024.

It's a animated image, not a actual one. Mid-Wing drop tank is under development/testing. Are you sure? I have been seeing this particular picture for 10 years now. Since the talk of hard points is going on, I always wanted to know why hasn't ADA attempted this configuration for LCA...

Why cant we just sop this screwgiri with psu. Beml tatra trucks cost 2.5 crore. Thats right and thats not even indigenous other than screwgiri.

Tata motors is supplying is 6X6 trucks to army and Ashok is supplying both 6X6 and 12X12 to army. So, I think both can offer alternative to BEML Tatra trucks.
Compare their specs witch T815. You would know the difference that why IA prefers Tatra over AL over heavy weight hauling. TATA is a relatively new entrant in Tractor segment, but AL was already there.
