DRDO developed Technology for transparent armour, Magnesium aluminates spinel has been developed.

100 mm × 100 mm × 4 mm square manufactured for technology demonstration.

It was produced using Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). This has been tested against 7.62 AP bullet. Technology can be upscaled for any size requirement.
