The pic I posted was used by a govt agency and labelled as strategic laser system . They conveniently forget to mention it was a representational image ( US system ).

I usually double check the authenticity of information since many govt & pvt sources simply copy paste foreign systems as representative image without mentioning it, but guess I got fooled.

It should have a manpad atleast....,.......
Space will be a big constraint

NAG can be used in anti helicopter role if required , provided the target is within its engagement parameters.

IMO it is always better to have dedicated anti air solutions/platforms

DRDO MPDMS can used for a new dedicated anti air solution/platform in the future

Do not stretch NAG that far .... let it hit ground targets first ...

Most probably NAMICA will be equipped with Helina in the future... being 7km, MWW seekers and having LOAL features, you may advocate using that against low flying hepters and UAVs..

Equipping ground assets without overall AD network. IFF systems, the air sit awareness and adequate AD comand and Control is very dangerous for own air assets. It is not so easy to equip a platform with MANPADS or any other AD weapon.

No bro may be new one.....or may be they renamed ...
So the new strategy is to change names and confuse everyone lol. Hopefully it's an improved version. But again, atleast iaf should induct a token number of 1st gen versions to get some Ops experience which then can be fed into DRDO.

What is the percentage of explosives(filling) weight to the total weight of these bombs?

It is usually 55-60% of explosives in the case of regular dumb bombs.

If these are your regular dumb bomb conversion kits then I doubt there would be much change in the weight ratio except for the 'filling' depending on the mission.

Yes right, nowadays information is hard to come by. I remember few years ago even if some one from DRDO threw a stone it would make it to headlines. Another view would be since now they have so many program's and turnaround time is getting shorter also more successful it has become boring for the people and media that only big things get reported.
