Now info on Very Long Range Tracking Radar (VLRTR) system released

View attachment 41543
Sorry for being late to the party.

Is this from the recently released MoD annual report?

When the first VLRTR has been operational since 2017, the second system must have been made operational in 2019 or earlier.
There was an article a long time back on the selection of two sites in Rajasthan, Alwar and another place which I forgot for the deployment of early warning radars for BMD.

These two units must be deployed at the aforementioned sites.

Also, this proves that the recent article in print regarding BMD by Snehesh Alex Philip is some distance off mark. There a senior MoD official had said that it will take 3-4 years to field an operational BMD system for NCR protection once the govt gives approval.

The radars are already deployed. And the interceptors can be deployed and made operational within a short span of time now. These are on mobile TEL and won't require much infrastructure. And yes the LRTR too is based on a trailer and is a semi mobile system.

My two cents is the AAD Interceptor has already been deployed for some time and the PDV too is deployed and operational or will be deployed soon.
This is for the NCR region.

The one for Mumbai may also be up and running.
Besides the VLRTR, we have also a single digit no of LRTR some of which are also operational.

We urgently need a Universal Vertical Launch system for the Indian Naval Ships.
Like Mk-41 Vls that need to fit these missiles as per mission requirements.
Brahmos-1
Nirbhay- 1
Long Range Sam- 1 or 2
Mrsam- 4

Diameter of AAD is “<50cm", LR/MRSAM is 54cm diameter, Brahmos 60cm, Nirbhay 52cm, Prahar 42cm, Sagarika 74cm... Single UVLS will fit in same number of those.

where did the sniper rifle come from? looks like OFB got shamed into doing this because of SSS....
unless there is some parallax error, that barrel is thicker than regular standard ammo. is it a new AMR by any chance? c'mon OFB jawab do......

Second picture....
Looks like OFB redesigned the sniper rifle(orange) present on the left side(black).
More like @porky_kicker jawab do, Lol.

I think it's a .338 Lapua from ARDE.

I am kind of zero when it comes to small arms but that sniper rifle is not a amr . An amr will need heavy duty muzzle brakes ( gun enthusiasts correct me if i am wrong )

I agree with akula opinion and bleh could also be correct in his opinion.
