With paper clips DRDO achieved success in ASAT test huh?. Don't let your tongue loose. It's better you keep quite when you don't know the context.

Stats don't agree. Defense exports have gone up by 8 times, imports fell by 20%. Electronics manufacturing up manifolds. From just 2 to 300 mobile factories, India is now world's second largest manufacturer of phones after PRC.
Yeah, Make in India may not have impact everywhere. It has boomed certain sectors for sure it was drafted for.

Within an year or two, India will break into top 10 largest arms exporters.

This is a very interesting prediction. In 2018, India's arm export was ranked #24 with $46m. The No.10 was Italia with $611m. What major weapon systems that India currently has can bring that kind of export growth? Tejas, Arjun, or something else?

India's defense exports were $700 millions in 2018 and $1.5 billion in 2019. $5.4 was target for 2023.

Earlier the attacks by the dalal lobby were focused on DRDO/DPSUs etc.

Now, the attack vector is being firmly aimed at the three services themselves, especially the IAF.

Because they have realized that support for indigenization has crossed a certain threshold.

This $1.5 billion is including all the rifles, pistols to civilian market which is no different than all the cloths, laptop. Basically, meaningless.

India doesn't sell any rifles and pistols to foreign civilan markets. Doesn't have enough for its own.
50% was ammunition and small arms to NATO countries, then fuselages for helicopters and other components of aircrafts and naval ships thereafter.

Most to NATO, then Latin America and Africa and rest to small countries around.

Your figure of $46m is sometimes from 2012-13.
