Satish reddy had said in a interview that phase 1 of BMD program is officially complete and decision of inducting BMD system is political and it's up to government to take that decision . But I think it's already in process and required infrastructure is being setup. Whether it is already active is questionable since it involves production which takes time. I think currently bmd missiles are in lsp and next round will sucessfull test will allow induction of these bmd system.

If that is the one, AFAIK it is for AD-1 & AD-2 sea based trials aboard a test ship which along with the OSS MRIS will be part of the open sea based test range facility.

Also possible deployment in future class of air defence ships with AD-1 & AD-2 & XRSAM with necessary modifications if required.
