Interesting configuration of QRSAM.

Launcher and radar/IFF on the same common platform.

It seems idea discarded later on for separate launcher and radar vehicles or maybe the configuration is a new follow on concept. I can't say for sure.

A wild guess - possible alternative for IAF if they opt for QRSAM later on

It was first for me , never knew a C&C vehicle existed for IAF Akash SAM.

Ok I was wrong! I just remembered a ARDE/DRDO had been developing a ASW rocket with 8.5km range, against existing rocket (rocket assisted depth-charge) RGB-60's 5km.

It was in trials as of 2018, @porky_kicker may be able to tell more about its present status...

No....

I don't think there is any plans for kestral tracked variant. But who knows we might get surprised.

Did not know that WLR Swathi radar is capable of 360 degree swivel .

This is a good feature and AFAIK not available commonly in other foreign WLRs

A helicopter fire control system (HFCS) has been developed by DRDO for the naval ALH. The HFCS interfaces to dunking SONAR and helicopter motion sensors, for subsurface and surface target tracking. lt performs contact motion analysis (CMA) and generates fire control solutions.

The system pre-sets and releases TAL and A244S torpedoes, and depth charge Mk ll. The HFCS meets MIL STD 810E and 462C EMI/EMC for airborne applications. Three systems have been delivered to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

I like this configuration. I would think this all-in-one config would be useful for the IA, as it has to travel with the armoured corps.

It gives vibes of artillery shell , but I don't think it is one , given a artillery shell is forged in one piece and not in seperate sections.

I could be wrong also
