Not 1000kg but in my judgement 500kg can easily be reduced. Along with the Aerodynamic improvements, and weight reduction , Tejas can be very very deadly aircraft with a load carrying capacity of about 4000 kg. Uttam is also coming up so as the the communication link to communicate with 40 aircraft. Range is increase from 1700 kilometres to over 2,000 kilometres. New state of art EW suit is also coming up.

XR-SAM range is 300km. It's been said by a former DRDO Chief long time back.

India is, but large scale production of those Missile is yet to happen.

I feel like vomiting whenever thinking about HAL, so don't ask me about what HAL's doing with Tejas or LCH

Ofcourse VSHORADS is in the DRDO roadmap. Let them finish QR-SAM project first or atleast at the advance stage of QR-SAM user trials. Coz VSHORADS need to have quick reaction too.

Some report s were there that it will be 50 ton

With Army's exaggerated demands, there's little chances of it being 50 tons. Next time they could possibly say that the engine is underpowered for the new international standards which could delay Arjun Mk. 2 production again.

DRDO made Electric Gun and Turret Drive System for Armour Fighting Vehicles, uses CAN based Gyro mech, all set to complete its trial officially by august end.

Yes, why wouldn't they. They will, once they fit Astra Missile with both Active Radar Seeker and IIR Seeker.

That capability is yet to be proven, could possibly need some software upgrades, or the capability is undisclosed.

Then how do you explain RBS70-NG and Igla-S being the primary contenders for VSHORADS contract......with even some reports saying that Igla-S was already chosen?

HELINA's range is now upto 8km
SANT's range is now upto 20km

Doesn't matters which platform carries how many weapons. Possibly more trials will be done by user and DRDO might add AAM capabilities to these ATGMs.
