ok that puts the kibbosh on Navanti’s proposal of S80. Talk about a self inflicted injury.
Looks like foldable antenna with arm. Like Media vans used to have.
What is there on the top of it
Germs-many has done far worse diplomatically and they're still in the submarine race partnering with MDLok that puts the kibbosh on Navanti’s proposal of S80. Talk about a self inflicted injury.
VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal)VSATs are used by the armed forces in remote mountainous regions and by the navy at sea. In defense, VSATs can help improve response time, ensure network centricity, and bolster the defense forces during critical operations and rescue missions. What's that pls elaborate
I have one question is there any specific vehicular need for VSAT? because buying a fortuner seems like an overkill to me (with VSAT it will probably cost even more)

Isn’t 50 lakh just for reliability too much? There has to be some specific needs otherwise we have safari, scorpio that army already uses.Ig its the high reliability of Toyota vehicles they seek
A bigger engine, means more power, and Toyota fortuner use same platform as Hilux so that could be a reason, bigger and the new gen Scorpio safari aren't that cheap nowadaysIsn’t 50 lakh just for reliability too much? At this time they only conducted studies and made something quickly to just show at aero India they had nothing concrete so they kept the stats min as they could at this point it wasn't even a project (it still isn't yet)
This literally the most important news yet this year. Absolutely staggering if this happens. The AMCA is shaping up to be more incredible than I ever imagined. A monumental win for the future of Indian fighter jet programs.
Army compulsorily buys 4x4 vehicles for all operational use. FWD is not acceptable at all. Also, heavy engine is needed for contingency. Fortuner is very reasonably priced for the featuresIsn’t 50 lakh just for reliability too much? There has to be some specific needs otherwise we have safari, scorpio that army already uses.
It is above 35000 feet. It may be able to go higher but then it will have a problem doing surveillance due to too much distance
They could've bought the Jimny. It's quite capable and lightweight.Army compulsorily buys 4x4 vehicles for all operational use. FWD is not acceptable at all. Also, heavy engine is needed for contingency. Fortuner is very reasonably priced for the features
100bhp nope nope high altitude = power dropsThey could've bought the Jimny. It's quite capable and lightweight.
Gypsy is ruled out and will be phased out. Jimny is a new version of Gypsy. Army does not want petrol vehicles as they don't give enough powerThey could've bought the Jimny. It's quite capable and lightweight.
