An off topic question but its been quite a good amount of time since these new uniforms are released why are only officers and soldiers who put up show like parades and stuff have it but not an average infantryman is their any rules or something?

Most are too lazy to buy the cloth from canteen and get it stiched when then rules aren't enforced the new joines get new uniform only

Who said industry is kept on the table? There are many possibilities:
1. India is trying to stall the negotiations by giving excuses/technicalities but not denying it directly
2. India is seeking something underhand/secretive deal/tech transfer which is well worth the money spent indirectly on something else
3. This is fake news

Remember that Stryker/wheeled IFV is not critical technology and is definitely not something India is having in large numbers. The wheeled IFVs can't go all terrain which is a huge disadvantage. For going on roads, India can simply use MPVs or other heavy armoured trucks which can carry 24-30 soldiers rather than just 7-8 in IFVs. Remember that during battles, one can's just go halfway and then change the car if one finds the roads to be dug up, destroyed, trees fallen down etc.

The wheeled IFVs are useful for NATO for its foreign expeditions under controlled environments with huge diplomatic support. Without the diplomatic support, the wheeled IFVs will be easy targets. This is why Russia, China don't emphasise on wheeled IFVs as they don't have any foreign expedition needs or opportunities. India follows similar doctrine as Russia & China for this reason

A fully indigenous product is ready and that too produced by private sector and yet we go for screwdrivergiri for the sake of military hardware diplomacy and make in India. They just killed our product's economies of scale and export potential. Not to mention the potential leverage lost which we can have with our own Hardware on other nations. Not true at all. There is enormous support for both of these vermins by inetrnational Chrislamic brigade. Bangladesh is not being nice but just adhering to bare minimum terms which India can force out of them given the chrislamic pressures like not making a military build up, keeping low level weapons, poor airforce etc. But they are still resorting to underhanded tactics and India is keeping its calm for greater good.

amphibious requirement was for basic ifv vehicle ? , if its just stryker shorad we are making then that wouldnt apply . we dont know if whap would even be amphibious if missiles are mounted on top of it .

Making wheeled amphibious armoured vehicles is very difficult. The wheels will not have grip in sludgy areas unlike tracked vehicles. Also, as I said, any wheeled AP will never be popular in India. So, Stryker etc may just be a sample purchase for studying at best or simply a black pill chatter

Are you saying this powerful govt is helpless in front of army in a system where traditionally MoD wields serious power and influence? Why is that all international deals are passed in double quick time by MoF and MoD? And who heads DPC? And can such international joint production happen without political direction?
