Uncle Han is back to dishing out half truths first thing in the morning. Uncle Han neglects to inform us that the Han initially proposed installation of their own TFs - the WS-13 on the Blunder.

However the Paxtanis would have none of it & insisted on the RD-33 ( later upgraded to RD-93 ) itself a problematic TF yet preferred by the Paxtanis to Han junk.

The Han are still trying to persuade the Paxtanis to opt for the WS-19 for the Block 3 of the Blunder also slated to go on to the J-31. Let's see if the Paxtanis take the bait & bite the bullet.

RD-93 isn't exactly an "Upgrade". It's like turbocharging a 1 liter engine at the cost of reduced cam and piston life. The RD-93 has half the engine life of the RD-33 and shorter uptimes between each MRO. And STILL the Pakis for all their retardation chose the RD-93. Speaks volumes on their confidence on Chinese engines. I guess they couldn't avoid it on the J-10 or didn't mind since it's more or less an AL-31F with little changes.

Entire Chinese fleet is now dependent on its own industry
Yes they are direct copy or derivatives of Russian parts and equipments but still their entire j series fleet is filled with domestic parts apart from few which has some Russian parts and engines of they replace with indigenous ones then they are good to go

Reality iseven initial rd33s were very inferior models just can't believe so less range it must be having like 2300kg fuel & shithole inefficient engine...
The rd93 is upgraded for more power with same components... Rd33 engines are one of those junks who doesn't use SCB..
The rd93 gives 2200hrs life claimed by Russians
They said 4000hrs numbers
for rd33 series 3 engines.. according cag it did not perform well. I think it has given only 3000hrs life & overhaul for every 500hrs...
So you can imagine how shitty rd93 is..
& If then they are rejecting Han reverse engineered WS engine Then you can understand how shithole That engine must be..
