Thats entirely the fault of IAF training. And indirectly MoD. They didnt procure AJTs for the IAF, so trainee pilots jumped from subsonic kirans to Mach 2 capable tailed delta MiG21 that has always been hard to master.

Yep. Most of the crashes were when trainee pilots who were used to nice slow landing speeds failed to control the jet on landing and crashed, killing both new pilots and experienced trainers. Completely avoidable loss of life.

I guess even 7-8 km will be more than enough if given by such small system..
