Are these import loving armed forces brainlets willing to spend money ?? Because for Tapas drdo opted for piston engine because "cheap" drone.
bruv the quote 'never sail on two boats fit perfectly' they want the drone to be cheap/best tech laden in all its class/dont want to spend money on the program/gives unrealistic requirements/and if it all doesnt work then they just dont order till the platform becomes obselete .This is the process since the last 40 years lets see how the future plays out

Navy would definitely give HALE drone love it their was one and we haven't even started yet can even say we have No Hale project yet so importing one is the best choice rn it's not even a debate for MALE drones yea our procurement system fucked this project and Archer 1 too

Haha keep on dreaming bruh they have added HALE to SPV and it's been waiting for private player for a year now this thing is stuck like AMCA don't keep any hopes until an SPV partner is announced
Progress in pseudo satellites going well. We won't need a hale drone to do surveillance & reconnaissance.. I don't think we need hale like drone to bomb..

Pseudo satellites are almost done just waiting for bigger prototype from Newspace and HAL but it can't carry those submarine hunter sensors of MQ9 so no can't replace HALEs MQ9s best part is their sensors.

If we would have requested GSQRs Better and would have upgraded our systems in step by step way instead of just wanting a perfect system in first go we would have done very well in this field took us Little to no time for swarm drones and Loitering munitions.

For army & AF it's more than enough. Such drone are also capable of sar imaging..for bombing male ucav will be more than enough for our requirements

Yes we have no plans for armed HALE yet (we are just getting the good package for mq9 so it's all included) as far as our Armed MALE goes we all are just waiting for Archer ng Archer 1 wasn't good enough for Army to consider but was good enough to export weird.

Hal should join hands with gtre if no-one is interested. I though godrej will go for it..
They are the one who are making those 8 units of kaveri.
Anyways last option left is hal only
hal already has experience, facility to build al31 & rd33. They can make it happen..
We need to make our system like France industry is mainly owned government. private players involved are the one who run the whole system efficiently. And makes sure they are not behind rest of the competitors.

We were trying same but our private sector is not that experienced & not ready to risk..

Godrej seems like they only wanted part in dry kaveri knowing Ghatak will happen no matter what and don't wanna take part in kaveri with ab which has no certainty or future set
