here's the news report

So to cross landmine Infested areas you are getting a jetpack that will make noise and leave you valunarable throughout your flight to any bullets enemy's send your way sounds like a great logic to me👍. Anyway are there no anti landmine technology yet?

Dunno why there is so much jeering about jet packs .. They can be used in places where parachutes cant like the mountains. Jetpacs can also be useful in places where perhaps helicopter insertion maybe too vulnerable.
On odd day folks here cry about how IA isn't innovative and they only follow other armies on even day when something out of the box appears they cry some more.
We aren't crying about jetpacks we are crying about the priorities where basic projects are kept on hold where your infantry is using fiber helmets and instead of getting helmets you focus your priority to getting a jetpack and are you seeing how fast this project is progressing? Carbines, snipers, assualt rifles helmets all other basic and important needs are stuck in rfi stages for years now... You see we aren't mad at jetpacks we are mad at priorities if other projects were going at same speed we would have been happy everyone would have been happy.

Do follow the russia ukraine war . The whole defensive strategy on both sides is totally built around mines . Breaching equipment are large vehicles that can be disabled/destroyed causing the whole assault to stall.

So that is your pet peeve .. Mine is insufficient mobile artillery should I sit and cry that why are sigs being procured while IA have a comically small mobile arty pool ?
But then the army needs to work on all aspects don't they or do you think things work in serial.

I just hope, for the sake of this nation, you never get to a decision making position in any organization.

You shouldn't cry as An AR is basic requirement for a soilder and army should focus on both of those points

It is as if it's an either or question . If another army does it 1st we will be breaking bangles as to why IA didn't think of it 1st.
No self respecting professional army would ever even dream of contemplating an idea so hilariously ridiculous, rest assured.

we can look at it another way too, there are many "out of the box" solutions being asked for, journalists/editors who reported this found this one interesting to make it to an news article. SAMAR AD too was an innovative solution, but news editors didn't find it worthy enough to have an article on it's own until it was test fired.

Because it's moronic, simple.
They can be used in places where parachutes cant like the mountains.
Tell us you know nothing about mountains by not telling us you know nothing about the mountains.
Jetpacs can also be useful in places where perhaps helicopter insertion maybe too vulnerable.
How?? Are they now coming with some form of force filed tech??
On odd day folks here cry about how IA isn't innovative and they only follow other armies on even day when something out of the box appears they cry some more.
This ain't innovation, utter stupidity is what it is.

True and that's why you'll never see a member bitching about the SAMAR system, cause that's true innovation and a damn useful one at that. But jetpacks?? Really??!!
