Ofcourse the public only knows the tip of the iceberg, we may never know what all the CIA, KGB has actually done across the world, unless with time we discover more declassified documents.

But for me, the question is, does India want to go the China way?
Do we want to risk tarnishing our global image as a country just because of a piece of technology?
Our image is already tarnished lol.
If they actually manage to make a proper engine by using saam, dhaam, dandh and bedh then muh image is a very cheap price to pay.

Seems to me
As they are trying to establish spv with private players maybe they might interested post election
Just wild guess
CCS approval will come only when development cum production partner would be decided. But since 2018, all the private giants are more interested in bringing a foreign jet rather then investing in AMCA.

TATA is more interested in F-21
Mahindra in Gripen
Kalyani in Typhoon
Reliance in Rafale

So they are more interested in MRFA rather then AMCA

Buy the chafale jets directly, as history have already taught us how unreliable those Frenchs are when it comes to sharing of technology

Their factories are probably at full capacity now because of new orders from various countries for the rafale.
We need to get a local assembly line here from the Frenchies for an affordable price by some miracle.

Ya'll Nibbiars The Gadkari say the Rafale will be manufactured at the Nagpur. The French company Dassault will be directly manufacturing Rafale fighter jets here that you have witnessed taking off during the Republic Day parade in Delhi. Probably the MRFA is Now a complete G to G deal.

Ya'll Nibbiars It's a Done deal?. Will 150 Rafale be ordered?.

Prakash Lute, Dassault, CEO of Reliance Aviation Limited (DRAL), addressed the technical session of Advantage Vidarbha on Saturday.
Lute said the unit in Mihan-SEZ is making the Rafale doors, which are exported to other countries. The plan is to make aerostructures in the coming days and the Nagpur unit has been granted autonomous status. The unit would also deliver Falcon business jets.
