I wonder if this is for the AMCA Mk-2 or Mk-1. If it's for the latter , we can kiss any hopes of seeing first flight of the prototype of Mk-1 this decade.

The original plan was T+2+2 with T signifying first flight of LCA Mk-2 followed by AMCA Mk-1 followed by TEDBF.

If we expect the roll out & taxi trials of the LCA Mk-2 to commence in Dec 2026 which seems a possibility , first flight would be tentatively around Dec 2027 , hence as per ADA's own schedule AMCA Mk-1 first flight should have been in Dec 2029 which I don't see happening .

The Ashok-Leyland JV 600hp engine is liquid cooled I believe.

The new 1500hp engine is different from the engine from the Bharat Power Pack mentioned 10 years back. It's RFI mentioned oil cooling so it might be oil cooled.
