BDL has launched three new products i.e., Vertically Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VL SRSAM), SAL Seeker ATGM for BMP II and Drone Delivered Missile (JISHNU) during the Bandhan event at Aero India held in Feb 2023.

Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet Technology for Air Launched Tactical Missiles: The state-of-the-art air-to-air missile powered with ‘SFDR’ propulsion enables the missile to intercept aerial threats at very long range at supersonic speeds and is configured with nozzle-less booster, thrust modulation system and sustainer to deliver specific impulse in ramjet mode. The missile was flight tested this year.

My assumption is because....

In mod report
Astra mk3 trial is written under drdo
Where as advance ccm is written under iaf

Again jaguar with asraam was flying..for months


Where as tejas with asraam ,just flown



So asraam from jaguar is the possibility

Ng ccm is a name for a category of missile , basically advanced ccm, drdo is developing one too so does the name exist for asraam

Impossible to achieve numbers with current design and propulsion
Still thinking what made military to fall back from 67 nos to this
