and @NoobWannaLearn as you can see how and why USA and China leading 21st century war technologies. They are vastly different than how India govt orgs like ADA, HAL work. If even decision making like CCS/DAC clearance needs years, I have nothing to say.

There should be case study courses for ADA/HAL and MoD babus on CAC, Chengdu, which is just few hundreds kilometers away from Indian border also on Lockeed and Boeing. Otherwise the way its moving, 1st AMCA will not be inducted before 2040. We can only hope Xi does not start air operations along the border before that. Else we will see same situation like IAF said, "We always knew PAF had F16 block 52 with AIM-120C5 but we were waiting for Rafale to come". lol
Government clearance was a problem during UPA rule as it was bent on sabotaging Indian defence on foreign pressure. But that is not the case now. All the clearances are done on time. The submission of documents is done beforehand and the clearance is given only after the actual development is done on the ground

3 approvals... that's all for today.

I think there is some inaccuracy in above item... 83 MK1A costed approx 47,000 crore... how can 97 of them cost 65,000 crore... when it is known thar these 97 would have more indigenous components... e.g. indigenous Radar & SDR.

What the hell is meant by the term 'Digital Basaltic Computer'.
An obvious typo error where ballistic is wrongful spelt as basaltic.
Everybody is repeating the same spelling in their posts.
I guess it should read as 'Digital Ballistic Computer'.

Is it terminology mistake or our understanding
TGS is new 155mm artillery gun right? Whose rfi was out recently
But here they are equating it to 105mm gun i.e Garuda v2
Or ifg will be replaced by 155mm new artillery

Pic is not DAS, its EOTS, or sniper xr ng stealth version
DAS is like DCMAWS[DRDO] consisting IR sensors.
Su57,tfx uses UV MAWS [DAS]

105mm ??
may be- 155mm Towed Gun System, mainstay of Artillery forces, + ammunitions under iddm, atags + ammunitions

Bro, I reckon there are a few bloopers in the Press Release.
I believe that the Army has the objective to make the 155 mm(39,45,52) calibre howitzer the main gun of the Artillery. The 105 mm gun while still being relevant with be the third level artillery gun after the Russian 130 mm guns(those not upgraded to 155mm calibre).

Your observation seems fully justified.
