I want one.
I want one.
these aren't scale models it's scaled down model for aerodynamic test
We've got an entire thread on this scale model thingthese aren't scale models it's scaled down model for aerodynamic test
or probably for showing off in those expos and all;
basically scale model = scaled down toy model of anything; that hobbyists build together and keep as a collectible

there are many manufacturers of these things in japan, china, russia i guess and the west in general; ranging from scale models of tanks to jets and battleships and what not...
so his question is in right sense; he is asking for such a thing here and not some aerodynamic scaled down dummy or a showpece thing - DRDO ADA HAL et al should at least collaborate with these kind of manufacturers or make it themselves (it's fucking pieces of plastic), and try to bring their kits on various stalls by them during this aero show that defense expo whatever for curious hobbyists and all, it is a good way to boost some popularity among enthusiasts
likewise, you will find it that porki junk fighter JF-17 is available in a video game/simulator DCS but no Tejas jab apne log hi prachar nahi karna chahte aise toh fir kisko dosh dey
world got to know MSMC now called JVPC from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 game and not from our media as an Indian 'Machine Carbine' - another example

Quite a random question, how many will buy if I sell accurate scale models of Indian fighter jets & tanks ?We've got an entire thread on this scale model thing
and enthusiasts hobbyists like @tomthounaojam @ketaki @Foxbat and soIndian Scale Models
Hi Guys, the hobby is quite popular in many parts of the world, however, here in India, it is still limited due to many factors one such factor is the lack of hobby shops and astronomical duties while importing the kits. That being said, I am into scale modeling for a while, and let me share my...defenceforumindia.com
I'm sure all of them would love to get a proper Tejas Mk1 or Mk1A scale model kit in their hands
I've seen some F16 models on Amazon. Can we disassemble them like jigsaw or glue is needed, hence permanent.Quite a random question, how many will buy if I sell accurate scale models of Indian fighter jets & tanks ?
Price b/w 3k - 8k tentative ?
Good, accurate, high-quality models that I saw on Amazon which are **NOT** toys are > 10k, and none of them are made in India (if you have a source, send link).I've seen some F16 models on Amazon. Can we disassemble them like jigsaw or glue is needed, hence permanent.

For your question, yes, jigsaw models (can be disassembled) but stickers/vinyls cannot be removed (obviously).

people will buy if it's in range of sub-1k because let's face it our socioeconomics are not that affirmative towards such hobbies; but yet there are hobbyists who are spending a lot from their pockets to get these scale model kits - which is just plastic pieces and stickers and so;Quite a random question, how many will buy if I sell accurate scale models of Indian fighter jets & tanks ?

Smaller ones require higher precision & quality to look & fit correctly, in general.@mist_consecutive
That's actually size ratio 1/48. , 1/72.
Smaller one being sold at higher price in India. Weird.
Indian variant has 75 pieces though.
See, this is where we get beaten. ~1k we won't be even able to cover the cost of manufacturing + shipping. To give you an idea, shipping takes anywhere from ₹300-500 depending on weight & dimension. If you want to cover the remaining amount in manufacturing, you won't get the fidelity & precision desired which makes the fans go "wow" !people will buy if it's in range of sub-1k because let's face it our socioeconomics are not that affirmative towards such hobbies; but yet there are hobbyists who are spending a lot from their pockets to get these scale model kits - which is just plastic pieces and stickers and so;
most of these things are imported which further dials up costs in name of this that taxes duties and what not but their prices otherwise is not that much
if you are able to bring the scale in production to keep prices affordable many will buy for sure even if not in name of hobby then in name of ;deshbhakti;
It's better to collaborate with Hasegawa to create Indian jet models citing demand & market in India than start a new production business which I believe will hardly get >500 buyers in the long-term.Hasegawa48 pieces1/48 scale ratio F16 jigsaw 15$>

That's the way to go forward.
well i must accept i'm not aware of spending behind managing logistics of all this so pardon my ignorance but point being same that it should be affordable even if not 1K make it sub 5K at least to give our hobbyists and enthusiasts a fair product for fair price; but it should be readily available, and affordable and cheaper than imports from outside with added duties taxes and all then yes it'll be a successSmaller ones require higher precision & quality to look & fit correctly, in general.

~1k even basic remote-controlled cars are crossing that value.
If I have to open a dedicated manufacturing business + shipping I will have to put at least a 50% profit margin to make anything meaningful & not go bankrupt, which again significantly shoots up the price.
this happens everywhere, even in private sector. so not a surprise as such.
Yeah right, Augusta chopper scam, allowing Tejas to die etc... were done by the current govt. Need to see the data, not go by msm propoganda...But this govt of jumlas has no shame
When did I compare with upaYeah right, Augusta chopper scam, allowing Tejas to die etc... were done by the current govt. Need to see the data, not go by msm propoganda...
While the current govt does disappoint wrt the pace of signing contracts, they were the ones who opened up defence for Pvt industry. So your opinion is plain wrong
