KH-2018 with EL/L -8222 self protection jamming pod.

The forward facing Tarang RWR antennas on the top of the tail fin have now been repositioned to just besides the wing tip on the wing leading edge for better unmasked coverage.

Some EL/L-8222 pods were freed up with the decommissioning of Sword Arms and two MiG-27 UPG squadrons. We can use them with the 2 Tejas squadrons - 18 Flying Bullets and 45 Flying Daggers.

It's 4 ton lighter too. Legacy trucks can tow them to high altitude. Unlike ATAGS for which new trucks are being ordered separatei.

Ashok Leyland Field Artillery Tractors can tow 20tons which are being ordered for ATAGS.
The existing trucks can only tow artillery huns weighing less than 12.5tons.

Stop getting your panties in a bunch guys. It's just a trial range for guns freshly made from Gun Carriage Factory Jabalpur before handover to Indian Army.

Dhanush - 2 regiments so far with balance handover by 2026 (114 ordered)

Sharang - Same by 2025-26 AFAIK (300 ordered)
