Embraer Defense & Security Holds C-390 Millennium Day in New Delhi, India

Embraer Defense & Security concluded its C-390 Millennium Day in New Delhi which brought together key private and public entities from the Indian aerospace and defence industry. The event provided insights on Embraer’s efforts to support India’s government initiative of Make in India and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India). Earlier this year, the Indian Air Force issued a Request For Information for a new fleet of Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) aircraft which Embraer has responded to, offering the C-390 Millennium as the platform of choice. The C-390 Millennium was on display at AeroIndia in February 2023 where guests toured the modern military tactical transport aircraft. Its multi-mission platform offers incomparable mobility, combining high productivity and operating flexibility with low operating costs, which is an unbeatable combination. The C-390 can carry more payload (26 tons) compared to other medium-sized military cargo aircraft and flies faster (470 knots) and farther, being capable of performing a wide range of missions such as transporting and dropping cargo and troops, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian missions, operating on temporary or unpaved runways such as packed earth, soil and gravel. In its refueling version, the aircraft has already proven its aerial refueling capacity, as well as an aircraft receiving fuel from another KC-390 using pods installed under the wings. It is the only aircraft in the world in the segment to carry out such an operation.

“The event was a great platform to deepen engagement with the players in the industry as we strengthen the case of the C-390 Millennium for India,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO of Embraer Defense & Security. “The vibrant discussions have paved the way for us to carve a unique proposition for India and the Indian Air Force.”

Since entering operation with FAB in 2019, the C-390 has proven its capacity, reliability, and performance. The current fleet of six aircraft, all in the aerial refueling version, designated KC-390, has already accumulated more than 9,500 flight hours. Recent figures show an operational availability of around 80%, with a mission completion rate above 99%, demonstrating exceptional productivity in the category. The C-390 Millennium has orders from Portugal and Hungary, both NATO member countries. The Netherlands, also a member of NATO, selected the C-390 Millennium in 2022. Embraer has an established presence in India with around 40 aircraft, across the fields of defense, commercial aviation and executive aviation.
Embraer is a global aerospace company headquartered in Brazil. It manufactures aircraft for Commercial and Executive aviation, Defense & Security, and Agricultural customers. This is not the Tata Whap but Mahindra Whap. Whap tech was shared with both. Mostly apc variant of the Tata Whap was seen and now we are seeing the CBRN variant of Mahindra Whap.
We can see parallels to the ATAGS system tech shared.
Now, when in hell are we going to adopt Whap in mass numbers like Chinese and Russians. We do need a lot of medium Armor motorization and mechanization of our units afterall. It would be such a shame for such a vehicle relegated to only specialised tasks.
I guess it's the classic case of cleared all trials but where in space are these orders. Oh sorry, my bad, almost forgot that submersible underwater mobility trials are still remaining along with a further reduction in weight by 50%:yo:

I think UN Generals should be honest once in lifetime and clearly say NO to nag missile just put us all from out of misery.

UN Generals had already brought 300 spike missiles for two front war which is more than enough, according to them.

UN Generals should not pretend anymore, we can assume safely this missile has reached its dead end.

@Chinmoy @Lonewarrior anything on simple Archer? How many orders are planned for it since it's going through weapons trial rn this one should make before tapas into forces
Just want to remind people who might be not aware. There is absolutely nothing exciting about Archer NG.

This Archer drone is a defacto Rustom 1 drone which has completed all its trials by 2012 including weapons carrying capacity (Except firing).

Subsequently this drone was declared insufficient by UN Generals and TAPAS was demanded (Which again declared insufficient by UN Generals).

This Rustom 1 was peaceful buried behind ADE office. This snake and ladder game is very old.
