Excellent decision. Double up the production speed. Costs gonna come down. Offer to other countries at a more value for money. Ramp up it's capability with CATS.100 more tejas
It failed. We are re-designing the missle, named as LRLACM. Drdo timeline given 2023-2026 as trial period(6 tests).Nirbhaya cruise missile
Thank you for the update…..It failed. We are re-designing the missle, named as LRLACM. Drdo timeline given 2023-2026 as trial period(6 tests).
Now MRCA can rest in peace100 more tejas
IMO, the IAF thought they won't be getting any foreign fighters so better get the swadesi one.100 more tejas
MRFA will continue regardless. What're you going to face the PLAAF equipped with J-20 , J-16 ,Now MRCA can rest in peace
Sir, the 114 number of MRCA is now looking like unobtainable. Sure, they will go for 2-3 more squadrons but chances are getting slim for 6+ MRCA squadrons.MRFA will continue regardless. What're you going to face the PLAAF equipped with J-20 , J-16 ,
J-10 & J-11 with ? LCA Mk-1a ? All 130 or 180 of them .
There're meant for the western front .
RN , if there's only 1 FA which can battle the PLAAF & give it a run for it's money , it's the Rafale although it's a 4.5 + Gen FA. We need them in good numbers or let me say we need a minimum of 90 nos apart from the Super Sukhoi program . The only other alternative is the Su-57 but it's still being fitted out & tested with the Item 30 TF . Then there's the F-35 which is a different story altogether.
Before you go what about LCA Mk-2 , AMCA , TEDBF etc , that's all happening next decade whereas our tryst with China will happen by the end of this decade or earlier.
But why, 50 more makes sense, we can match Pakistani JF 17's pound for pound with that but what are we going to do with the rest of the 50 aircrafts where are we going to use them, certainly not the Chinese as J10s will be an overmatch for mk1a100 more tejas
MRCA isn't going anywhere. Now MRCA can rest in peace
If they had to go in for an additional 2-3 squadrons they'd have done it a long time ago. They'd be going in for The Full Monty this time.Sir, the 114 number of MRCA is now looking like unobtainable. Sure, they will go for 2-3 more squadrons but chances are getting slim for 6+ MRCA squadrons.
I will be happy if it isn't going anywhere. I want my IAF to have all best fighters.MRCA isn't going anywhere.
Why match their numbers? Better to give them a number to try and match. But why, 50 more makes sense, we can match Pakistani JF 17's pound for pound with that but what are we going to do with the rest of the 50 aircrafts where are we going to use them, certainly not the Chinese as J10s will be an overmatch for mk1a
I think the idea is to let all these Mk-1a be deployed on our Western front with maybe half a squadron of Rafale & 1 squadron of Su-30 MKI upgraded to Super Sukhoi standards in a front line role with the Jaguars in a secondary role leaving the rest of the IAF free to take on PLAAF . This would also include the Rafale component the INs importing. But why, 50 more makes sense, we can match Pakistani JF 17's pound for pound with that but what are we going to do with the rest of the 50 aircrafts where are we going to use them, certainly not the Chinese as J10s will be an overmatch for mk1a
