Not surprising . These are the first HMDS we used. So its impression is bound to be seen.

Can this be compared to DASH IV or not.
Only if looks could kill. Can this be compared to DASH IV or not.
Cause our looks very crude and unpolished.
Looks very basic in comparison to DASH IV
Actually yes looks do kill, ergonomics is and should be an important factor, if the pilot is not comfortable in it then his efficiency will significantly drop which is not a good thing.Only if looks could kill.

they could take some inspiration from dash4 and improve upon it. No offence, but it looks a bit too rudimentary. It's like you have made an helmet because you were forced to make it. Pretty sure they didn't even bother to benchmark it.
All it talks about is faster production time, no mention of ergonomics or anything, adding padding to a helmet doesn't make it more comfortable, weight distribution, ease of use, technological capability etc are also very important factors
How a DASH works? All it talks about is faster production time, no mention of ergonomics or anything, adding padding to a helmet doesn't make it more comfortable, weight distribution, ease of use, technological capability etc are also very important factors
If by looks you mean the view a pilot gets while looking through the HMD then ya, looks can killOnly if looks could kill.
Achieving 30000 feets is not difficult but getting desirable performance of all systems at that altitude is the issueAnd why you think so?
Totally agree, everyone has forgotten...While everyone here forgetting the difference between a HMS and HMDS.
Looking at a HMS and comparing it to a HMDS .
SHCHEL-3UM is significantly limited in what sort of data it can present unfortunately. AFAIK it only allows a HOBS seekerhead slaving cue, compared to Elbit DASH or the European/American HMCS, which offer a lot lot more data. According to a USAF pilot I know, the Schel 3UM is basically trash in this regard, so it would be nice if we can upgrade to DASH standards. If by looks you mean the view a pilot gets while looking through the HMD then ya, looks can kill

No airforce in the world except for the one which is a captive customer of DRDO/PSU will ever induct this piece of shit in this bloody 21st centuryTotally agree, everyone has forgotten...
...starting from DRDO themselves

If you're selling something saying HMDS and then expecting everyone to judge it against a HMS then how's that fair!
Moreover in current era no one's going for a HMS anymore, the current trend is of HMDS. So isn't that what you should make?
Ok let's see how outdated this DRDO HMDS isHow a DASH works?
You sure this is the final product and not a prototypeTo sum up this whole issue...
One chose SHCHEL-3UM to copy it's HMS and other chose F35 HMDS...that's both the similarity and difference between Indian and Turkish defence R&D
