Lease whyyyy ?
Lease whyyyy ?
I will post some old interview videos of Tejas-Mk2 Project Director , in those videos he clearly mentioned that all 4 Mk-2s will be of SP standard, 1st 2 will be of IOC & last 2 will be FOC standard, there will not be any LSP aircrafts, after flight testing of IOC standard aircrafts, Mk-2 will directly enter series productionFYI-
1. LSP means Limited Series Production . similar to Low Rate Initial Production
2. ADA already said first 3 aircrafts will be prototypes
LSP is a necessity, if the product in new. IAF will use LSP/LRIP aircraft for testing and evaluation process, once it meet minimum requirement, IAF clear IOC
Also, there is no separate LSP in Mk-1 program. Three stages, 1. TD stage, 2. prototype stage and 3. LSP/LRIP stage. LCAmk2 lacks TD stage, but having proto type stage[ADA] and LSP stage[IAF]
We already have 4th gen engine technology, only things we need are funds & test infrastructure, if we get these 2, we can develop a 4th gen 110KN engine on our own, without any foreign help(go read my posts in Kaveri thread). We will be spending billions to get a 5th Gen engine technology, hence its our right to get it, if we aren't gonna get it, then what's point of spending so much moneySo this new engine which will be developed we won't have any access to it? We will not use it?
You guys keep on crying on everything... We do not have good engine developed in 30 years. Any move to get any sort of deal to get future engine which makes our fighters sanction free is not enough.
Just compare our DMS-4 (DMRL)with ReneN6(F414), you will understand that our blades are better than American ones, similarly our HPC is better than that of used in F414, we achieved PR of 6.4 in Kaveri HPC with 6 stages, while F414 achieved it in 7 stages, only thing our engine was behind in F414 is LP Fan, ours was bit inefficient, but this can be improved if had more funds & test infrastructure.....now you can see that we already have necessary building blocks for a 4th gen engine, this was also repeatedly said by GTRE.....now if already have 4th gen tech, then why do we need 4th gen M-88 technology??? Hence we should, by hook or by crook get the 5th gen engine technology, if we failed to do so, then we are only wasting our moneySo this new engine which will be developed we won't have any access to it? We will not use it?

I said navy will “Prefer”, Agni P is nuclear missile probably for specific Carrier Killer role i.e. a deterrence rather than tactical weapon. Then why is navy so hell bent on perfecting launching ballistic missiles from ship? If I'm not wrong the as of now some 7-8 tests of Dhanush have been done.
Why exactly is DRDO working on developing an anti-ship version of Agni-P?
Is NASM-MR stealth like LRASM? Is NASM-MR fast like BrahMos? If no, then it's not much better than Kh-35
In current configuration it's nothing more than a Desi GQM-163 Coyote...no warhead, no seeker, just an engine, fuel tank and rudimentary guidance. You'll need considerable time to first mature the liquid fuelled ramjet engine and then scale everything up to make an AShM
But even then it makes absolutely zero sense to develop another liquid-fuelled ramjet AShM from ground up when we already have BrahMos for heavier operations and BrahMos NG for lighter.

cant luh be used as a scout heli if not what are some popular options in market we can look at ?Probably
1) They want to test out features and see what they would like in a future scout heli.
2) India doesnt make dedicated scout helis, so its a convenient opportunity for paying guys abroad. Perhaps even buy from abroad taking notes from Navy first leasing then buying SeaGuardian.
so this will be before fmbt or its gonna be fmbt
Well I am still does not returned from my andromeda trials. Looks like brother will be pushed to my fate.so this will be before fmbt or its gonna be fmbt
Definitely, LUH can be a scout heli. Needs small stub mounting points for light weapons, plus a gun mount. Done.cant luh be used as a scout heli if not what are some popular options in market we can look at ?

Someone buy few LUH and give it on lease to indian army, they will accept it,.. pathetic
bhai I think ur bro will outdone you in terms of trialsWell I am still does not returned from my andromeda trials. Looks like brother will be pushed to my fate.
then should have just gone with themDefinitely, LUH can be a scout heli. Needs small stub mounting points for light weapons, plus a gun mount. Done.
I dont know. Maybe they want more additions? Like kiowa heli had a mast mounted sensor pod etc.then should have just gone with them
so they might lease some other heli and then build luh for that role as they see fit?I dont know. Maybe they want more additions? Like kiowa heli had a mast mounted sensor pod etc.

Delays Endless, Now Indian Army Wants To LEASE Light Helicopters - Livefist
In the latest chapter of its stupefyingly endless quest for critically needed light helicopters, the Indian Army has just sent word officially out that it is looking to lease 20 light helicopters for the reconnaissance and surveillance role. The reason why this is absurd is that the Indian Army has…www.livefistdefence.com
