When will we get the first plane?
September this year. When will we get the first plane?
Very close tnxSeptember this year.
Not a game changer unless they integrate it on MiG-29Ks...except for those puny Rampage, our MiGs lack any substantial anti-surface weapon.
Noice...
Mig 29K are unlikely going to be used in a land attack role, and currently there is no plan to develop an anti-ship version of Rudram-2, only Anti-radiation and land attack roles as of now.Not a game changer unless they integrate it on MiG-29Ks...except for those puny Rampage, our MiGs lack any substantial anti-surface weapon.
At Mach 5+, 300km range and an anti-radiation seeker these can prove to be a decent anti-ship missile.
I'm talking about anti-ship version only; never said land attack.Mig 29K are unlikely going to be used in a land attack role, and currently there is no plan to develop an anti-ship version of Rudram-2, only Anti-radiation and land attack roles as of now.
Also, Mig-29K do come equipped with Kh-35UE.

But for Mig-29UPG of the IAF, Rudram-2 is a no brainer.
BRAHMOS NG & NASM-MR are under development for air launched anti ship role. Also there is possibility of STAR to be further developed into anti ship missile.I'm talking about anti-ship version only; never said land attack.
As for developing anti-ship version is concerned, we are very much standing there. One version of Rudram-II already has DRDO's legendary penetration-cum-blast warhead and anti-radiation seeker in itself is a formidable weapon in anti-ship role, Rudram-II won't trigger ships ESM and ships can't afford to turn off their radars.
As for Kh-35 is concerned then don't you think there must be some reason why we chose to go for BrahMos in later Shivaliks instead of regular Klubs?
The regular Harpoon/Kh-35 type subsonic anti-ship missiles are pretty much obsolete now...it's now the era of either supersonic missiles or stealth missiles.
I mean, if you remove "attack" part from "attack helicopter", then what remains is just a "helicopter". Not shaming Argentina if they fancy just a "helicopter", but in that case they are better buying ALH Rudra and not LCH.Is ATGM so important for Argentina?
Here I've problem with Kh-35, elaborated what the future is and still you're mentioning NASM-MR...hum aashiqon pe ye sitam kyon!?NASM-MR
BrahMos NG is in development for quite a long time whereas Rudram-II is laying right there, needing just some minor mdifications...not to mention Rudram-II will be faster and follow a quasi-ballistic trajectoryBRAHMOS NG
Navy is likely to prefer sea skimming missile for anti ship role over any missile with ballistic trajectory. Rudram-2 is also in developmental trials and Brahmos NG development trials is likely to start from late next year onwards. Not much time lapse for better desired sea skimming capabilities. Here I've problem with Kh-35, elaborated what the future is and still you're mentioning NASM-MR...hum aashiqon pe ye sitam kyon!?

Here he says developing Man Portable Air Defence System and has developed Very Short Range Air Defence System.
Big W for french, they are gonna develop a next gen engine with our money , what are we getting in return, huh?? old M-88 tech, disguised as next gen, while they are secretly developing a exotic engine for FCAS..
So probably gonna take 10 years
There was some rumour that India is joining fcas program what happened to that just noise?Big W for french, they are gonna develop a next gen engine with our money , what are we getting in return, huh?? old M-88 tech, disguised as next gen, while they are secretly developing a exotic engine for FCAS..
