There are two ways of defence procurement; either COTS or using proper RFI process. If bought COTS then Chinese ones are the cheapest so dealers can add a good commission and if bought via RFI then also Chinese ones would be L1

So we just have people thinking about money rather than security is the bottom line

Only from "proper" defence procurement, not from PSUs and labs floating their own RFIs for various small components and subsystems.

Don't worry about it, Because these systems are air gaped and even you provide license the key management server or validator can't talk with ms servers, also these win7 not a stock win 7 we used in past, these are hardned customized ones , most of the embedded win os are not similar to regular win7 os they where Custmzied to kernel level which will remove non used default components and remove any telemetry function to ms or any their party servers, for example the most notorious virus wanna cry infection happen around the world because of O'Day in smb protocol used by CIA( later leaked by shadow brokers) but t even these kind of vulnerability won't affect the military garde older windows operating system because by these vulnerable services are removed and os is completely Custmzied, the reason we use xp or win7 is legacy driver support I think some of the UAV communication device or telemetry components uses legacy protocols these protocols may be developed in early 2000 so these device drivers won't be able to function in modern version windows OS like win 10 or above,

Ps: yes the most terrifying part is Chinese CCTV, the systems are air gaped but not cctv systems, they can subjected to remote intrusion or espinoge activities

Why hydrogen?? What does it achieve other than carbon neutrality, but that is not of concern for defense drones. Unlike battery drones this won't eliminate heat signature, so why not use good old gasoline?

Hydrogen based mobility is a sunshine sector in India at the moment, for I.P generation someone has to put in money and work on it. if not for anything else, mark this under R&D and proof of concept category.

Hydrogen is silly Idea and impractical one. Until scientific breakthrough is made to somehow containerize Hydrogen with permeating through or make keeping hydrogen liquified light and easy(even then it wont solve the first problem)... things aren't rosy for Hydrogen as combustion fuel is also problematic for range coz due to low volumetric energy density.

Even when used in fuel cells, It falls short of conventional EV in terms of efficiency.
