Why use AI?
Because one all these bugs are ironed out by such exercises, AI is shitfucking hard to beat... It's like playing chess in hard mode against AI that can predict the next hundred iterations of all possible moves.

There's already trials where dogfights are completely dominated by AI bots as it's omniscient decisions always beat the human pilot's instincts.

Finally F&F... Laser homing has become very, yesteryear.

Does anyone know what happened to those eklavya drones there was a quite a buzz around it the company was working with a British company what happened to it nothing on aero India too is that company even alive?
Yup...it's hibernating.

Contrary to other geographical regions where you may find them throughout the year in India most of them tend to pass the tough seasons of the year hibernating in caves and under rocks or even crevices.

When monsoon (DefExpo - Aero India)comes and the season becomes favourable for breeding then they come out from their hibernations.

Sigh... I wish DRDO/MOD would just contract out the development and fabrication of a submarine testbed from a private company L&T and then just get going with with a fully locally built submarine. Except for the diesel engine and some optronic stuff for the mast everything is available from the local industry.

Kirlosker could make the diesel engines if given adequate input from DRDO.

Perhaps Tonbo can work on it . But it is something outside their current offerings.
At this point they've made sensors and image processing their competency. They already have everything from IR to Thermal to Cooled to uncooled. They simply need to make a container to survive the submerged pressure and that's it

Is tht remote turret ? If not the gunner looks very unprotected and I hope they attach a M2 browning or NSV instead of bren like they do with the Gypsy.
Why 50 cal for CRPF? Ive never heard of naxals using armoured vehices or anything, 7.62 nato is fine.

They could .. but in this case the best would be sourced . and no one does diesel better than the germans ..If they refuse or get blacklisted for corruption :bplease: then sure kirloskar has a chance. But then there is the additional hassel of certifying their engines for marine/sub use. Even the nigiris use the MAN engines.

They won't...Indian companies have this weird unwritten constitution of not doing anything if it can't generate sufficient cash-flow.

They'll never start a dedicated line just to make some 8-10 engines for Navy and that too when it isn't sure that after they pump money in tooling Navy would select them only

Not a simple task ... Probably something DRDO should look into.

Sorry to break your hearts but...
...that whole story of AI killing the operator and then killing the communication tower was all kinda fake. Do you really think that an AI that can be constrained to small nuances like not saying the N-word would be given so much of free space like killing the operator or communication tower?
Even non-AI, basic automation systems like CIWS stop as soon as their traverse or elevation comes in the way of the ship...and here this kind of advanced AI won't be taught that? Perhaps blue on blue prevention would be the very first thing that's taught
Yeah story was sus AF

I actually wrote a post here about how simple it was to code it to not do that, ended up deleting it since story didnt feel credible.
