Trishul on BMP-2 chassis -- Lost opportunity!!

If we had developed something similar to the above system, we would have got a perfect replacement for Strela and OSA.

But, there is a possibility that we might see VSHORADS in a similar kind of arrangement.
trishul actually failed. But learning from that program are seen in other ads programs. I believe we shall see such products on upcoming FICVs in development. If all goes well we might also see DEW based solutions.

but for a Fleet Support Ship? Really?
And what if that Fleet Support Ship is big? Let's get bit more precise; the biggest?

At a displacement of 45,000 tonnes, HSL-FSS is almost of same loaded displacement as INS Vikrant.

As of now we have made one INS Vikrant but we plan to acquire 5 FSS; so just imagine the scale of work needed.

And as far as technology is considered then our current Aditya has a replenishment rate of 600 TPH and that for FSS is 2,400 TPH.

It’s one thing if we don’t have access to that kind of technology in India to get foreign help, but for a Fleet Support Ship? Really?
GRSE has developed the Aditya Class of Repair and Replenishment Ship, all that needs to be done is enlarge it or make it smaller, as per the requirements and make the other requirements modifications, I don’t believe this is some kind of rocket science. It’s not like shipyards in India haven’t built bigger ships for the civilian merchant market.
Also BTW does anyone know why the this class of ship was limited to just 1 ship?
@binayak95 do you know the possible reasons?
No clue at all bro
