No one is faultless but the elephant in the room since Modi came in has been the armed forces subtly undermining atmannir Bharat, up until ~2017 PMO/MoD tried to affect change via policy (DPP-2016/SPM) and creating incentives at the industry level but not much really changed.

since ~2018 Modi stopped playing nice and started to intervene quite aggressively on individual deals and requirements, the negative import list whilst full of back doors for import designs set the tone

even now these clowns are trying to subvert the intentions of their civilian leadership with the spate of ‘emergency’ import deals

LCA MK.2, MRFA, P75I, ATAGS etc fates will be the litmus test

Is it Turkish design or Turkish manufacture? If design only, I doubt it will matter. Italy is very anti India on international forums, but we have them design our ships anyway, even Vikrant I think they had a hand in design (where they fucked up something on the internal aircraft bay I think, leading to slower turnaround time than US carriers.)

American are so peace loving that we can't use INS Jalaswa in war......yet they are so excited to provide us with something so advanced as EMALS.

So I guess it's high time we leave behind this attitude of what Turkey had said about us and focus more on what they're willing to do if we throw few bucks at them.

Yup, you're right.
Only 24 launchers, for a maximum of 72 ready to fire missiles.

It’s one thing if we don’t have access to that kind of technology in India to get foreign help, but for a Fleet Support Ship? Really?
GRSE has developed the Aditya Class of Repair and Replenishment Ship, all that needs to be done is enlarge it or make it smaller, as per the requirements and make the other requirements modifications, I don’t believe this is some kind of rocket science. It’s not like shipyards in India haven’t built bigger ships for the civilian merchant market.
Also BTW does anyone know why the this class of ship was limited to just 1 ship?
