The first NGOPV will be delivered in 2026 while the first NGMV will be delivered in 2027.

‘Privatise’ DRDO makes no sense- they are by nature an almost entire R&D entity, the private sector in India does very very little R&D of their own, in the defence space it’s even less. As you say, give the same remit to the private sector in india and they’ll go running to buy up IP from rejected products abroad and then re-brand them with a sticker

many simply don’t understand what DRDO’s mandate is and think of them as another bloated PSU.

FSS seems unworkable and will need to be restarted from scratch. Still not sure why this is unobtainium for a country that makes SSBN, aircraft carriers, satellites and heavy launch vehicles

it seems pretty unlikely given Turkey’s Kashmir position and their deals with the Pakis that this goes the way of Turkey, that would be pathetic
