End user trials of the XM7 and XM250 only started this year and are still ongoing. What happened to NGSW programme in the US.looks like that also failed.

NGSW was accepted lol. Sig Saur entry was selected. What happened to NGSW programme in the US.looks like that also failed.
All this high tech does not matter if induction is n ready and sustainable quantities does not happen.
Many of these innovations don't translate into victory if they stay as wunderwaffen instead of standard issue common stuff.lots of wasted programmes in the US which has wasted a lot of money for no induction and usage and even the indu Ted ones like LCS has major problems that it makes it a loss on their military readiness
It's the AF that keeps pushing it. Russians probably paid well.eat shit HAL
Just like mig21,jagur,su30mki? lol... importing heli engines frm russia.i believe KA226- shall help HAL in understanding contra rotating blades technology - which it can leverage in future.
heli engines aren't russian. They are are Turbomeca make from France. You shall be surprised, the amount of things we learned from import substitution. Thing is we focus only on critical high value technology like Engines to gauge our leanings. That should be areas of focus no doubt. But learning about often compact complex transmission gear arrangements, the metallurgical know how and manufacturing process involved in their making- is often sought than not.Just like mig21,jagur,su30mki? lol... importing heli engines frm russia.
but it is not replacing their main rifle completely, it will be relegated to special forces only if it is not replaced again by some other new fancy rifle.NGSW was accepted lol. Sig Saur entry was selected.
Interesting thing from it is the scope, integrated rangefinder and auto-aiming point.
They have initial order of 200k rifles, which is around 50% of their army. Should replace all in atleast frontline use, and probably second batch will completely replace.but it is not replacing their main rifle completely, it will be relegated to special forces only if it is not replaced again by some other new fancy rifle.
Daayum...never knew Vinayak is from JapanFine chap is probably wearing Japanese gear.
recent news is that they are not inducting itThey have initial order of 200k rifles, which is around 50% of their army. Should replace all in atleast frontline use, and probably second batch will completely replace.
They plan to replace all of their M4s and M16s with it. I think if a rifle is named M7 then it should give you enough of idea what's it's going to do.but it is not replacing their main rifle completely, it will be relegated to special forces only if it is not replaced again by some other new fancy rifle.

it's not failure per se but it isn't successful either,NGSW was accepted lol. Sig Saur entry was selected.

so despite all noise and promotion and what not SIG SAUER MCX 'Spear' and .277 Fury//6.8x51mm are still not that ready for mass adoption; at current stage it might become their SF limited only rifle with probably replacing FN SCAR H or as another squad level DMR i thinkhhmm the thing is it's also 'raw materials' and supply chain issues,
like there was an article concerning over how US Army's NGSW program and adoption of SIG M5 'Spear' rifle etc is facing issues of getting tungsten for making its critical components and ammo as well, as that 6.8 x 51mm round requires tungsten alloys for making its armour-penetrator
aanndd guess who's biggest producer of tungsten ?
same cuntry that also ;gifted; the world with tasty cuisine like bat soup
View attachment 196163
and this is just tungsten there are much required rare earth elements that go into production of all these - and likewise cheen is also numba wan in their mining-production etc
and giving to their ongoing cold-war with the amreeka it's very less likely that they could secure a mass supply chain of those materials
+1it's not failure per se but it isn't successful either,
primarily design's flaws as i covered in past in different posts
- that infamous vdo by inrange mud test where SIG SAUER's NGSW rifle failed to fire even two continuous rounds after dropped in mud with its dust cover open; hence reliability issues
- a pic of that rifle's muzzle device literally breaking apart off its barrel
and what not, i suspect there is more than that
and another potential failure in terms of delivering promises, especially defeating body armours UNASSISTED with first round hit, which was proven to not be the case even with current commercially available level 4 armour, as shown here in this vdo
here, two versions of the ammos, one is .277 fury with all brass case and regular loading of propellants and 6.8x51mm dual material case with Steel base and Brass case and improved propellants - both failed to defeat body armour with first shots at barely 50 some metres range; and even on second shots only improved 6.8x51mm was able to penetrate through the armour while .277 fury still got lodged in already hit armour plate
so yeah there are talks over this that promised performance is still not there
finally, supplies issues as i covered here

Yeah this drone is becoming quickly the mainstay of IN and ICG. Eventual numbers will be 3 digit
Trump once said something similar thatThe US is decades ahead of us, the xinese and the europoors. Remember the rest of the world is still 'trialing' stealth technologies.
US technology is like an iceberg. You think what you see is advanced? Now imagine the capabilities they have that no one knows.
Didn't realiseYeah.
The ppt is full of super secret data...
Yeah...Didn't realise
Good to know navy is doing amazing work with private partnersYeah this drone is becoming quickly the mainstay of IN and ICG. Eventual numbers will be 3 digit
You know they won't learn shit from it. The motivation is simply not there.i believe KA226- shall help HAL in understanding contra rotating blades technology - which it can leverage in future.
