Why capped at 8g, not 9g? What's the angle of attack? 7.5 tons? That's also the max payload of F-16V and it only has one engine.

G forced is capped due to Naval requirement as these planes need to perform strike missions rather then dog fights. FA 18 has similar G limit or possibly less (7.5 g)

Angle of Attack is purity IAF requirement, How much they want? But also depends on many factors, so there is limit.

7.5 tons is pure weapons load. It is 2 ton more than F16 as internal fuel capacity of F16 is only 3400kg while for TEDBF its 5500kg. So basically F16 have to carry external fuel tank almost always for every sortie (Compulsory) but for TEDBF it will largely depend on mission profile (Optional)

So basically it’s more and more becoming Rafale. I don’t think copying is bad thing when you are having limited amounts of money, infrastructure and expertises.

China are smart in this areas, they quickly managed to close the gap with the West by copying Western weapons.

TEDBF can easily carry 4 Astra-Mk2, 2 CCMs, 2 Brahmos-NGs & 2500kg of external fuel...total of 8000kgs fuel (internal + external)

G-limit doesn't really matter much IMO. It's capped for the pilot's safety rather than anything else, modern airframes can easily survive more. For example the F/A-18E is normally capped to like 8Gs(as a function of AoA and speed), but the pilot can still press a button that allows more angle of attack than normal

Angle of attack, is also capped for the airplane's safety, because once past a certain angle of attack, the engine starts to have trouble with airflow ingestion and flight control surface effectiveness(in fact it's one of the prime reasons why the Su-30MKI or the Rafale or Eurofighters have canards - more AoA allowability, and better handling at low speeds)

The main thing to look out for would be the instantaneous and sustained turn rate which would decide the kinetic performance of the aircraft in flight
