As far as I know Jawan is only available in Kerala, I tried to find it in other states but was not successfully.

PSU chiefs make these sort of statements during or before big events, to guage market interest and for publicity buzz.
to be viewed as part of their sales pitch, just like any company that manufactures.
not to be given too much importance, until the buyer says "yes, we need it".
after the buyer shows interest, we know what happens.

good development but shouldn't they focus on integrating more missiles and weaponry on Prachand first ?
Dhruvastra is still a bit away and it is using imported AA missile, and incorporating 'grenade launcher' (dunno which one, AGS-30 ?) is nowhere to be seen or even mentioned nowadays...
