First flight. Turks are doing great. We are here scrambling fighter jets to deal with drones. Soon we'll be doing the same on western front.

I 'm convinced they will build their 5th gen jet on time. Not sure about ours.

Would've liked to see a true scale model/mockup of Tejas Mk2 and AMCA by now atleast.

What was tested today is a newer lighter variant of Agni-5. Earlier, the second and third stages had carbon filament wound composite motors.

The 1st stage which was earlier made from maraging steel is now replaced with a composite rocket motor. It not only increases payload fraction but also reduces production costs by almost half.

Besides, newer improved RLG and the like used in Agni-P have been incorporated into Agni-5.
With time, Agni-5 is gradually improving .

It's single digit cep makes it a perfect missile to target enemy siloes housing ICBM and IRBM.

Reports are coming that A5 launch was visible as far as Aizawl. Also reports from Bihar and West Bengal !

Is it really A5 ? How can it be visible as far as 600 km away at Aizawl ? Did we test it for a high-apogee flight path ? That might mean its range is far greater than anticipated ~5000km.

High chances of it being Visible in Arunachal Pradesh as well, maybe the chinks saw it too, dude when we can see IAF fighter jets flying over Awantipora with full afterburners sitting in Budgam, then this is nothing.

Sooner or later we'll develope longer ICBMs, then MIRV, then HBGV...but God knows when we'll take inspiration from Russian road-mobile launchers.

Launcher's the only thing that looks weird in our truck/trailer type missiles.
Longer is not necessary for now 5k range with better accuracy,MIRV and slbm should be protity.
Longer range will piss of west and won't we any usefull for us

IMO it's a fucking big deal with the new composite motors, this test is so special

This person is claiming it's from Manipur

This one from Jharkhand

This funny one from Odisha:pound::pound::

The discussion is so funny, they thought its an asteroid and took the stage separation as the decaying of the asteroid, so naive 😻

To see something that is 600km away, it only need to be a little less that 30km altitude, so that's not really out of the ordinary.
The spectacular sights of today's test AFAIK is due to the timing of the launch, which is just after sunset - so it's dark on land but the the sun is still shining few 10s to 100s of km altitude. So the exhaust gases from the rocket and vapour create a kind of a cloud which reflects the sunlight at that altitude and is visible for 100s of km away.
You'll find similar videos of spacex dusk time launches from Vandenberg, IIRC there is even a Anti ballistic missile test also where you can see the target and interceptor missiles maneuver in space.
