All our BPJs, be it for Army or Paramilitary are standardized. Unless they are being purchased on company level.Have we like standardised on any bpj design at all? Or it is multiple rfi and whoever wins goes with it.

Pls post the details also for better discussion. The great buffoonery called RFP by the the Indian army . A 120 page RFP in which they want to buy snipers without sights and other add ons . Just read the delivery schedules they desire. Seems to have no understanding of manufacturing seems more like a rant of a toddler than a document from a professional Army
Why the Indian Army's Search to Find Sniper Rifles Seems Neverending
While the Army is taking delivery of some 750 Sako TRG-42 sniper rifles from Finland, it recently dispatched a restricted request for proposal for nearly 5,000 more.m.thewire.in

some years ago, when 'sniper with sights' tender was released, rifles that qualified failed the tender requirements because sights failed. if we go back and look for opeds at that time, some other fellow would have written an oped saying MoD should issue separate tenders. The great buffoonery called RFP by the the Indian army . The Wire is biggest buffon of all. The RFP is restricted means, its not available in open media, so no one is going to question their buffonary on it. But lets have a look at the RFI points here.some years ago, when 'sniper with sights' tender was released, rifles that qualified failed the tender requirements because sights failed. if we go back and look for opeds at that time, some other fellow would have written an oped saying MoD should issue separate tenders.
opinions are dime a dozen, if the unnamed sources have such an issue they can always approach MoD. tenders have been cancelled plenty of times, what is one more.
or is it the case that Wire doesn't want this tender to proceed on these T&C. we don't know.

Are the sniper accessories like sights and all specific to a gun? Or can be used interchangeably in any combination with any gun?some years ago, when 'sniper with sights' tender was released, rifles that qualified failed the tender requirements because sights failed. if we go back and look for opeds at that time, some other fellow would have written an oped saying MoD should issue separate tenders.

that's what MIL-STD-1913, what is known as picatinny rail is for. it's not the case that scope itself has fixed picatinny rail directly attached to it, there are adapter rings in between. Are the sniper accessories like sights and all specific to a gun? Or can be used interchangeably in any combination with any gun?

I thought it was 15hrs before well if they changed engine and still got same endurance that's a letdown anyway whatever we get its better than nothingIIRC 18 hrs was already achieved and we were going for 24 hrs. The requirement was 36 hrs or something.
