8 Cr too sounds like a lot for a 250km rocket they'll be able to bring it down hopefully.

Not really thats less than 1mln usd so its an okay price tag...the seeker etc can be expensive8 Cr too sounds like a lot for a 250km rocket they'll be able to bring it down hopefully.
yeah esp since it wont be supersonic or anything. 40 crore for 800km cruise with mach 3 vs subsonic, ballistic rocket with 250km.... shouldnt cost 8 crore IMO.8 Cr too sounds like a lot for a 250km rocket they'll be able to bring it down hopefully.
That rocket from Solar is without seeker, Chairman clearly mentioned it. Also Brahmos uses ramjet engine, expensive materials for cruise flight at high velocity, highly accurate seeker. Not really thats less than 1mln usd so its an okay price tag...the seeker etc can be expensive
Upto 80k tonnes China, India may be around 15k tonnes.
At least 40k-50k tonne presses are needed to be developed in India if it actually wants to compete aerospace powers like US, France and China.
Yes, our current capability is around 20kT and our good to have is 40kT.DId not know that 80kt capacity existed, f-35 some metal plates were stamped using 40kt but I can see subs, ships, rockets and nuclear reactor areas to benefit a lot with that kind of ability to stamp and give it unibody rigidity. Our sweet spot is probably 30 to 40kt?
Pretty sure it's going to be supersonic (I'd guess even normal pinaka rocket has supersonic terminal velocity).yeah esp since it wont be supersonic or anything. 40 crore for 800km cruise with mach 3 vs subsonic, ballistic rocket with 250km.... shouldnt cost 8 crore IMO.
If I am not wrong, we need 3x or 4x times larger hydraulic press.
Yes, likely GPS+INS
250km pinaka? Is it guided
Still looks pretty crude, nothing "futuristic" about it. It looks like BMP-2 salesmen trying to scam me off by telling me it is a completely new platform.Front look of ficv

I had higher expectations from L&T. It seems like this was designed by a truck mechanic.Front look of ficv

Side skirts are a pain to attach and remove on the fly, it will only be done when it goes into testing.I had higher expectations from L&T. It seems like this was designed by a truck mechanic.
Exposed wheels and tracks ? It is supposed to have modular armour right ? Where are the hinges/hooks to hang them ?
Protruding headlamps ? And what’s up with the funny gun ? Where is the 7.62mm co-axial ?
If any IA tank commander visits this exhibition he will be laughing his ass off looking at this abomination.
I remember 3 companies are making ficvs right? Hope other ones do better job cause this looks aha okishFront look of ficv

Isn't our navic system more accurate than gps technology do they use it for defence equipments?Yes, likely GPS+INS
I’m utterly convinced india can’t have a world class arms industry because the prime customers (Indian military) are still stuck in the 1950s/60s and hence why we keep seeing abominations that no other arms industry on earth would produce in the 21st centuryFront look of ficv

IA thinks they can add futuristic to any old cr@p and get away with it, remember they labelled this FINSAS:Still looks pretty crude, nothing "futuristic" about it. It looks like BMP-2 salesmen trying to scam me off by telling me it is a completely new platform.
These things are built to IA ASQRs so unless the IA is trying to sabotage this effort from the outset (entirely possible) then they can’t laugh too much at what their specs have producedI had higher expectations from L&T. It seems like this was designed by a truck mechanic.
