Still these rockets are heavier than pinakaHave we advanced in rocket motors to new levels?
Our Pinaka reaches 75km advertised with a length of 5.175m while gmlrs is 4m long while achieving the same range and now the er gmlrs range is supposed to be 130km+ in same 4m length config. 214mm pinaka vs 224mm gmlrs.
And now the new prsm missile will be a rocket with 400mm dia, 4m length with around 500km range advertised. Even in atgms we are lacking behind in range figures compared to new Bois like spike lr2 and mmp.
Only missile I see which is better than almost anything other in similiar class is Agni-P.
I guess we are almost there but a little bit remains to be headed further.

Considering that the missile has been in User Development Trials for close to 1.5 years now, it is difficult to put a date on test. Best guess, early 2022.
