Range of 1000 km could be correct. Some news articles have mentioned that the weight of the UAV is 135 KG, and it has a piston engine of 37HP. This would make it an advanced version of her Harpy-1 Or Shaheed-136. Both these drones have a range of 1000 km. The only difference is that Tata drone has a capacity of vertical takeoff and landing due to 4 electric rotors. Electric rotors are very and would not affect the range very much.

How many of the loitering munitions we are purchasing have the tube launch capability??? Rapid launching of multiple loitering munition from a small truck with a small footprint and fast deployment speed will be useful on the battlefield.

Basically something like the Chinese have in this video:

This requires loitering munitions like SwitchBlade with foldable wings. Allmost Loitering munitions we're thinking of purchasing is hand launched or Quadcopter

How are we intending to launch swarms, most of the quad copter types are short legged. So for deep strikes, will this work out? Or we have other types of drones in the making.

Anti radiation missile confirmed, imagine a hovering chopper which is already a pain to detect by radars, popping up and sending an ARM towards a SAM, not stating the fact that in future LCH can be upgraded to carry drones too equipped with EO or anti radiation seeker.
Let's go Bois, ARM goes swoosh...... RIP vehicle mounted radar based SHORADS like HQ7, Tor or Pantsir.

Harpy specs from the wiki read: weight: 135kg / warhead: 32kg / engine: 38HP / range:600km
While TASL ALS-50 135/23/37/1000?
Sounds similar in specs to Harpy (other than the lighter warhead and longer range). Despite this, its got VTOL? And how tf does a single 37HP engine power a quadcopter? Is it diesel electric? Or does it have a proper transmission?
Something is not right here.

Cost of small electric drone is equal to an ATGM or MBRL rocket. We should be looking at procurement of 5000 to 10,000 small electric Suicide & recce drones per annum.
Any idea on the shelf life of these systems. That and the % of components sourced from abroad. What we really need is a new thread to track all the drone companies in India, their offerings, whether or not they have been ordered by Army and in what numbers, what their cost, indigenous content and shelf-life are.

Which ARM would it be I wonder, couldn't be Rudram-1, that thing is too heavy.

Hopefully the Army is closely guiding this project.
