Tapas is rustom 2 right?
Like thisHybrid propulsion??
When did Tapas become Combat drone.
Tapas is rustom 2 right?
I thought it would be STAR derived missile....Like this
Booster ( solid rocket motor ) for boost phase
Cruise ( turbofan or turbojet ) most probably turbofan for cruising
Terminal ( solid rocket motor ) a small SRM for supersonic dash during terminal stage
Will the missile detach the Turbofan and it's fuel tank, before activating the terminal stage ??Like this

Me too i dont see how a private company can built a supersonic missile with its own money ...one possibility is drdo will provide its engine to help with developmentI thought it would be STAR derived missile....
It wasn't?When did Tapas become Combat drone.
Or a heavily downrated KMGT.Nope. This is just 1.2 MW GTG, probably an auxiliary generator
GTG and GTE are basically same. It's about kaveri marine turbine engine version
It was stalled for many years
In twitter they are saying it's gte but @gslv markIII is saying its gtg
So controlled my emotions and waiting for confirmation
The missile itself after being fired can climb to a higher altitude and cruise there . Just outside the seeker acquisition envelope, the missile dives down and comes to the same altitude or closer to that of the target .Don't read much into 340 km range. It could be achieved if launched from 20 km altitude or 65000 feet. As of now we don't have any fighter to fly at that altitude.
So the practical range would be anywhere in between 190 to 230 km max.
Canopy opening looks awesomeEnjoy.
Coming soon to an airbase near you .

There's a LDP / T-ISR pod on the left cheek station.
The innermost wing station is carrying what is most probably a Rudram-2 missile . The middle station is carrying an Astra mk1.
This isn't good right?
They choose what is right for them nothing wrong
This isn't good right?
The thing about these drones are they can capture video of attack . But poor artillery , MRLS which does most of the job cnt effort to do the same . Not saying its not useful . It can be great for opportunistic strikes in some locations lacking EW / air defence , propaganda for civilians in war times to keep the spirit up . And things like surgical strikes , rebels it ll be useful .View attachment 165542

Bangladesh has announced a plan to purchase Bayraktar drones after their apparent success in neutralizing Russian military assets in Ukraine.www.thedefensepost.com
This will go just as well as their plans to buy Eurofighters and Apaches
If terminal stage is SRM than the terminal stage has to seperateWill the missile detach the Turbofan and it's fuel tank, before activating the terminal stage ??
