Looking into the KFX program timeline especially engine procurement, i was able to get this.
2016 - was the date of signing of contract between hanhwa techwin and GE for F414.
2020- was where the first engine was delivered.
2022 - is first flight.
Now my question here is have we signed any contracts for f414 for amca or mwf yet? Because if not then 2023 first flight for mwf is a dream.

But as per contract, 300 were supposed to be delivered by 2022. But here we are.

Sharang is 155mm originally upgunned upgraded from Russian 130mm M46.

Unit cost of conversion is under Rs 75 lakhs per unit.

OP was comparing the size of VL-SRSAM VLS with that of Barak-1 VLS, hence the comparison between VL-SRSAM and Barak-1.

Barak-8 is almost twice the size of VL-SRSAM.

It is not just a question dimension.
We use hot launch VLS.
Heavier the missile bigger the booster, bigger the booster more powerful the exhaust, more powerful the exhaust more reinforced your VLS needs to be.

Booster is a generic term used to refer to any engine that will push out/fly out the missile from its VLS cell.
It can be used to refer either a separate stage or the main engine itself. It is used analogously refer to either of them.

From what i know that is not true and booster and main engines are not same.
But doubts about that vls remain ..i remember there were drawings from tenders would be great to get vls dimensions from it
