Looking into the KFX program timeline especially engine procurement, i was able to get this.
2016 - was the date of signing of contract between hanhwa techwin and GE for F414.
2020- was where the first engine was delivered.
2022 - is first flight.
Now my question here is have we signed any contracts for f414 for amca or mwf yet? Because if not then 2023 first flight for mwf is a dream.

DRDO has signed 1,464 technology transfer agreements with Indian companies till date: Government
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has signed 1,464 'transfer of technology' agreements with Indian companies till date, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said on Monday. The DRDO is working relentlessly for enhancing self-reliance in defence sector by providing home grown indigenous state-of-the-art defence technologies to industries, as a continuous process, he said in his written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.

"The DRDO transfers indigenously developed defence technologies to Indian industries by signing the Licensing Agreement for Transfer of Technology. Till date, DRDO has entered into 1,464 ToT agreements with industries," the minister noted.

In reply to another question, the minister said that the government is looking for collaboration with a foreign engine company for co-development and co-production of combat jet engines, which will have thrust higher than 80 kiloNewtons (kNs), for India's advanced medium combat aircraft.

Indigenous capability already exists with the DRDO and Indian industries for design, development and manufacturing of 80kN combat jet engine.

He said the share of foreign procurement in the total defence procurement in 2021-22 was 36.25 per cent.

In 2020-21 and 2019-20, the share of foreign procurement was 36.40 per cent and 41.18 per cent, respectively.

Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) selected the F414-GE-INS6 to power HAL Tejas Mark 2. India ordered 99 engines in October 2010. The engines are to be delivered by 2013.
Maybe ew would these engines.

I thought 99 engines was for f404 and media is misquoting it but you are indeed correct. I hope GE is not making a mistake and confusing mk1a for mk2

Nope, 99 ge 414 engine for lca mk2 and won against ej200. These 99 engines comes with local production.
In case of mk1, HAL ordered new batch of ge404 for mk1, and GE working with HAL to set up MRO for 404s.
GE already start supplying ge 414ins6. Amca & teddy need new orders, engine variant unknown.

The thing is...other than GE winning it, i find no other evidence to prove that a contract has been signed, the delivery has been made and hal produces it locally.
