Indigenous alternatives need to be sped up.
January 2021---- Drone attack in Jammu Airbase.

Breaking News--- India is acquiring Israeli anti drone system.

February 2022---- Singapore air show. Indian contingent visits Boeing AH-6

Breaking News--- India is procuring AH-6 from US.

June 2022---- Indian contingent visits WB stall in Eurosatory 2022.

Breaking News---- India acquired 100's of Warmate.

Meanwhile WB electronics website news section.

https://www.wbgroup.pl/en/news/

It seems WB group executives are worse then our Babus. They have no interest in increasing brand value.

Even the switchblade doesn't have a massive impact in ukriane .loitering munitions are almost not that effective there
Switchblade 500gms warhead was always a stupid idea to begin with, most of other loitering munitions start with 1.5kg warhead atleast.
Effectiveness of loitering munitions lie in their ability to loiter and wait for the perfect moment to attack a preset designated types of targets to get out the most of value.
Here is a excellent use of Russian Kyb munition perfectly hitting and effectively taking out a whole infantry section.
I am quite sure that if availability of mini uavs for surveillance and light loiter munitions like warmates or solar lm0 goes upto depths of platoon level or atleast company level, it would greatly increase the chance of taking out high priority enemy tactical targets like snipers, Mg teams, atgm teams, spotters, mortars team etc.

Drdo need innovation lab and mad scientists
No. It needs better DRDO-Military-Academia-Industry cooperation. That is much more important than these "futuristic" gimmicks that have no practical application in warfare.

That see-through armour is also present on the new KF-51 Panther that Germans unveiled. So probably Tonbo should sponsor a couple of Officers, maybe even DGMF himself, to visit Germany and see it first hand.

The program was sponsored by Army, there are two competitors, Ajna lens is the other one.

Question for knowledgeable membran. Is it not puzzling that spike lr2 or mmpt has more than double the range of mpatgm(5.5km as against 2.5km). Or in another case brimstone ii who's range is speculated close to 40 km(that is like nasm, which is a 600kg missile). More than double of 20km range sant(which is probably bigger than brimstone, could be wrong) or 5 times of 8km of helina. This difference can not only be attributable to better propellent or electronic miniaturisation or data link sorcery.

Or all this public info is grossly off mark.

SANT: 10KM (rotor wing)
Brimstone 1/2 : 12KM(rotor wing)and 20KM (fixed wing)

I don't think the Brimstone2 (similar weight and dimensions of Brimstone) would have that doubled range figure. the hightlight of the Brimstone2 propellent is that it is so powerful to allow the missile to be launched on a fix wing airplane platform.

The missile is equipped with a state-of-the-art MMW seeker which provides high precision strike capability from a safe distance. The weapon can neutralise targets in a range up to 10 kms.

That could be it. But one thing to note about brimstone is its airframe is copied/inspired from agm-114 and so did the Chinese with there ba-21 missile. Not surprised by Chinese as they copy anything and everything but proud Euros copying yanks is something. Maybe there is something in its design that needs a closer look or inspired by it, maybe agm-114's design has a great l/d ratio which translates in higher range, just speculating here.

NASM is 375 kg only not 600 kg and it carries a warhead of 100 kg. Brimstone carries only 6 kg warhead. SANT on the other hand has 8 kg warhead similar to hellfire. Warhead weight is important factor in range and it also needs to be taken into account while comparing missiles.
