Nope, this looks like it’s their own effort. They were developing a 52 cal version of Dhanush. Are they both same?

The indian companies are designing their products from the ground up with respect to most Army weapons. The screwdrivegiri is with aerospace and some naval products. Look at Kalyani companies. Look at L&T and Mahindra. They have developed the know how and mastering the know why through their own R&D programs. Look up Kalyani's interview re barrels and etc. It provides for an illuminating reading.Unfortunately, you are not getting much of the know how if your engineers and workers only work on the assembling.
Regarding Know why, I am afraid that Chinese at least knows much more than their Indian counterpart. Just looking at their aerodynamic design development from J-7 to J-20, you can clearly see their progressing on the know why.
specs ??No APU. Looks like plain vanilla towed artillery.
Curious to know how much it weighs and what kind of testing it has undergone so far along with the results.
No idea muzzle break look like sourced from Dhanush but back side no idea initially i thought Bharat 52 but not wheels and hydraulics are different..Wtf?

Dhanush 52/MGS ordnance on the 7.2 inch Mark 6 howitzer carriage at Field Gun Factory, Kanpur. In the rear the old 155mm L45 upgrade of M-46 can be seen with the distinct multi baffle muzzle brake.Wtf?

After a bit of pondering and reading the statement again, IMO this platform is just for the testing and trails of the 52 caliber ordnance for OFB guns like the Dhanush 52 and OFB MGS and is just for validation purposes and not a dedicated platform for operational use. As FGK is a mainly barrel manufacturing facility.Dhanush 52/MGS ordnance on the 7.2 inch Mark 6 howitzer carriage at Field Gun Factory, Kanpur. What bharat 52 or dhanush ?No idea muzzle break look like sourced from Dhanush but back side no idea initially i thought Bharat 52 but not wheels and hydraulics are different..

Both know how and know why are the result of accumulated decades of basic R&D and specific weapon projects. So, it is basically a competition of time and money. Who has longer history of weapon development and more money, who has more know how and know why. That is why those Western and Russian weapons are always better than others, i.e. China, simply because they have longer weapons development history and they have received more war data from their clients in the battle field. The indian companies are designing their products from the ground up with respect to most Army weapons. This is a test platform for proof firing of manufactured ammo.Which gun is this?
The news is about Kanpur gun factory manufacturing 52 cal shells, not gun.Field Gun Factory Kanpur’s iteration of a 155MM/52 Caliber gun
No. Gun factory Kanpur don't deal in 155 mm ordnance.Domt they already make it ?
FGK is a barrel manufacturing unit. The news is about Kanpur gun factory manufacturing 52 cal shells, not gun.
Kanpur gun factory never manufactured shells , even after reorganisation thye don't manufacture shells ,The news is about Kanpur gun factory manufacturing 52 cal shells, not gun.
Look at number 4, 5, 6, 7.FGK is a barrel manufacturing unit.View attachment 155196
