No Chinese or any other country will send their bomber into hostile airspace before they achieve absolute dominance in the sky.

Nope, not so easy. Not only seeker, but you need to change fuse (proximity) and warhead (blast-fragmention). Also a2g missiles often have programmed flight patterns, which needs to be re-programmed.

A direct-ascent ASAT is ground-launched. A co-orbital ASAT, on the hand, is space-based, in an orbit similar to the target which it can acquire after it receives an order remotely.
