Imo there are two types of rudram 2(speculations though)SO, this is rudram 3

Looks like a two stage missile which means very high speed. If it is air launched it will be quite unique (aim-240 or whatever its called is also claimed to be two stage). Wonder what's it is for.
Anyone got an idea of the kind of seeker and guidance it'll use?
Indias anti bomber missile.
Now chinee h 6 will have hard time entering our airspace in case of a war.
PCB warhead clearly indicates it's role as AtoG missile and why do you think this fat missile would be an AtoA one?Looks like a two stage missile which means very high speed. Rambha is 'fat' but also agile .PCB warhead clearly indicates it's role as AtoG missile and why do you think this fat missile would be an AtoA one?
Please read my post carefully, where did i say its a2a missile. All i said that the missile seems to me a two stage missile, thats all. And its possible for missile to have more than one kind warhead (not saying it will be)PCB warhead clearly indicates it's role as AtoG missile and why do you think this fat missile would be an AtoA one?
Thought that all the Rudram missiles had to be air to surface ones and Rudram-III was actually to be an aeroballistic missile.PCB warhead clearly indicates it's role as AtoG missile and why do you think this fat missile would be an AtoA one?
can be, but it will be safe to consider it as terminal speed, rather than nrmal cruise speed.I have a question if someone can please answer. In this image Rudram 2 warhead penetration capacity is given at speed of 300m/s and that of Rudram 3 is given at 350m/s to 550 m/s. From this can we infer that max. speed of Rudram 2 missile will be 300m/s i.e. close to Mach 1 and that of Rudram 3 will be 550m/s i.e. Mach 1.6????

Thanks for answer. Considering it to be terminal speed, what do you think can be the max speed of these missiles?? Can we get to the figure of max speed from the terminal speed???can be, but it will be safe to consider it as terminal speed, rather than nrmal cruise speed.
missiles decrease speed at terminal phase.
PS, won't India better off with a heavy bomber for launching such weapons? We have thermobaric weapons (vaccum bomb) too to make something like FOAB.Thought that all the Rudram missiles had to be air to surface ones and Rudram-III was actually to be an aeroballistic missile.
Will manned bomber be relevant in future. We should start planning for unmanned bombers. GHATAK XXXLPS, won't India better off with a heavy bomber for launching such weapons? We have thermobaric weapons (vaccum bomb) too to make something like FOAB.
it is rumored to be hypersonic, but not as fast as kinzhalThanks for answer. Considering it to be terminal speed, what do you think can be the max speed of these missiles?? Can we get to the figure of max speed from the terminal speed???
Thats DEAD/SEAD missile, not long range AD.Indias anti bomber missile.

do we need 4 machs on an antiradiation missile?
