Here’s your “self reliance”, I fully sympathise with Army importing stuff because these subhuman whore-tier coomers in sarkari companies are the biggest enemies this state has ever produced. Here’s the BP jacket which was unable to stop a round and costed the life of our jawan in yesterday’s encounter.

Is that a BPJ or the ammo carrying jacket thing ( don't know what it's called) soldiers wear!?

It is a plate carrier
The plates are manufactured by OFB

The ammo carrying thing is a load bearing vest or a fisherman vest

Our approach is similar to the Rooskies, wear the Plate carrier underneath and the vest with mag pouches over it

I would appreciate if any one knowledgeable in this field would explain the significance and usage of this development.
Foldable antenna are of great help for communication purpose. These antennas are of huge radius like 2.5, 4 or 5 mtrs. Being able to carry such a antenna in a small 4x4 vehicle gives you a huge tactical advantage both in war and peace time scenarios.
These could act as communication backbone of many field units.

Very good paper go through it.
For example, prescribing Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) to operate between +50°C to -20°C could not be tested and the possibility of planting of IED in -20°C is remote. In large number of cases, parameters could not be tested during trial evaluation due to lack of testing facilities. Delay in introducing of Bullet Proof Jacket is one such case. One of the parameters specified in SQR for replacement helicopters for Cheetah / Chetak by army was that it should land at 16000 ft, switch off and start. No helipad existed at 16000 ft and hence waiver had to be given at later stage resulting in three years delay and tying up the vital resources of the development agency
bro
We recommend that when procurement is from Indian contenders the concept of NC-NC trials should be done away with and either converted to No Cost with Full Commitment(basically develop at your own cost and we will def buy)or Development Cost funded with No Commitment(we will fund the development but we can't guarantee orders) as applicable
As long as ncnc exists there will be no proper defence company.

Lots of good stuff in the document

I was going through the product list of MKU and Tonbo. Both of them have every products for F- INSAS. Scopes, Helmets, BPJ etc. Still I am confused why we are struggling to modernize the soldiers. Also fund is not a problem since our folks sending back money to government.
