agni 1 launcher was used, but it will not fit in ssbn, thats why they are testing with k4.

I doubt it - for land based used more likely. Hypersonic submarine weapons will be using much smaller boosters. Submarines by definition can get much closer to targets by themselves. K4 booster will mean they can only carry 4-8 tactical CMs and that won't be terribly useful over those ranges.for arihant class ssgn

Plus the diameter of k4 booster is similar to that of Agni 1 booster , plus side is that it's more compact and therefore shorter
