AFAIK there is no plan for next-gen WVR, we will be using Python-5 or ASRAAM as our WVR in the future. After that post ,lot of changes have happened in the design process and unlike sfdr and Astra mk2 , this one is a bit more far
Idranil has been tweeting about that for long , also saw some document regarding a ir seeker .AFAIK there is no plan for next-gen WVR, we will be using Python-5 or ASRAAM as our WVR in the future.
Any source which might indicate we are chasing an IR-seeking short-range missile?
We will have our own couple of WVRAAMs. For our Stealth Fighter Drones. Making an infrared guided missile is one thing, it's the target discrimination capability of IR Seeker missile that's needs to be mastered.AFAIK there is no plan for next-gen WVR, we will be using Python-5 or ASRAAM as our WVR in the future.

Maybe license production of ASRAAM, else why will DRDO designate ASRAAM as NG-CCM.AFAIK there is no plan for next-gen WVR, we will be using Python-5 or ASRAAM as our WVR in the future.
