Most internships are in name only. Most engineering students do 1 month internship at the end of third year. Also, 1 month is a very small time to learn any new thing practically. Thus, this internships are done only to enrich the CV of the student, which may come in handly during campus placements (during 4th year).

Also, internship in elite PSUs are in high demand compared to number of students applying. That is where recommendations come in. If you have any contacts within the PSU, then only your application will be considered.

Kalyani is developing those with additive manufacturing ,but lot of government institutions need a base engine to test various drone designs , and having few companies and procuring from them is expensive than paying small amount , getting the tech and then giving it to companies for manufacturing
Ya we are killing competition by investing on R&D and then provide it to everyone for peanuts.

If there is no profit, there is no economy or an ecosystem to sustain it.

Why would any company investmest on R&D if they know the Gov. will probably give the technical to them & their competitors for free.

In this way we will only be stuck in government R&D. With no private R&D base. Probably relying on ToT for what ever DRDO scientists can't figure out.

Interesting thing. Seems like we all missed this.. It's mentioned as we rectified some engine issues in imported weapons platform(which is common to both IAF & IN) could it be related to MiG-29K's engine RD-33. We do license produce it locally right ?
Yes HAL website says we still manufacturing Klimov RD-33, probably in Koraput factory

Ya'll Nibbiars The aeronautical sector is still developing will take time but once it's is fully established then could be the IT sector of the manufacturing. But of course will take time. And unless the Goverment encounrge will not speed ups.
