Possibly because of "tractor configuration". Instead of a regular propeller facing front and the thrust pushing the aircraft ahead, it's the propellers facing backward and the generated thrust pulling the aircraft ahead

Works theoretically, has some practical problems but overall looks stupid
You are getting confused with Pusher configuration.

This brain drain is all because of that , if someone spends all of his teenage and 20's in closed space , improving his skill and knowledge in most hardest curriculum (no disregard to commerce and humanities folks but ur course are puny infront of what we deal with ) , then working under hundreds of restrictions , no proper social life , threat on life from other nations , and yet u pay them equal to a maid in Mumbai , or a delivery boy . No patriotism don't fill stomach , and yes engineer too deserve a life , we don't have some bondage slavery contracts to work , who will marry a guy who earn peanuts

This is some overglorified assistant work(typical in LinkedIn where every one is a Sundar Pichai and Elon musk) under a temporary contract probably. DRDO scientists are paid 6 figures with all perks of class A gazetted officer under GoI. Those who actually do hands on work in a project crucial like hypersonics will be vetted at the highest levels due to security reasons. They won't put linkedin ad like "hey wanna join drdo's hypersonic team? Raise ur hand". Probably some cad assistant for some subcontractor

I have seen people with excellent mechanical engineering skills learning CS courses after graduation to land a better paying job
Coding pays more than 50k , so why waste doing mech/electro jobs less than 20k. I heard B E/tech working for 3k and 14k for ME/tec. Most BE/tech choose startup or coding or other non engineering job and rest finds job abroad. Afterall india is software humb of the world.

Actually drdo pays huge amount like in lakhs or so but at a position, you need to get selected ofcourse and selection criteria is trash of both drdo&isro I mean they test more based on your theoretical knowledge and less in practical

Ofcourse they’ll put a big ass advert on Linkedin, “wanna join DRDO, here’s your 20k a month”. They’re not that stupid, DRDO guys get handsome salaries. Most prolly a little piece of bs.
Ya'll Nibbiars for fresher in contract basis it is. You still don't knew how much less you get paid for the jobs in India. You are in a living in a la la land where many dreams that they will get starting salary in 6 digit figure per months.
